While searching for inspiration an information for my report i came across this site i think it is really interesting to see just how types of media have been affected by the Steampunk trend, one of the medias that have been affected is the publishing industry as there are many stories book and articles that have either been set in Steampunk or have been inspired by it and then converted in to other medias such as film, and there for fashion. I found it really interesting to see that new technologies was being affected (the i phone though apps).
This image was something that I was very inspired from the use of military influences in the garment and also the clock work mechanical arm that related to Steampunk, I think that the image as a whole relates to my own design. The thing that I like the most about this image is the clear time period it has been set in even with the modern Steampunk influences.

This was an interesting fined to see that Steampunk is now an excepted art form and is now a part of a historical trend; i would defiantly suggest having a look through some of the work that has been published on this site.

Coco Before Chanel.

I find this film so inspiring to see one person change and influents so many people and become one of the most famous people in fashion.  I find the way the fashion slowly changes through the film very clever as it shows her influence and character getting stronger.

My Shirt development .

One side of my toile.
In this photo you can see the use of pleats down the front of the shirt I would say that this was the section of the shirt that was the most time consuming to construct.
