Givenchy Fall 2011

During this project I had a variety of inspiration to help me on my design work but the Givenchy’s 2011 fall collection was the one that stood out the most.

little black dress designs

LBD project was all about taking the classic little black dress and connecting it to your own theme (the peacock in my case). I chose to look at Coco Chanel and the 1940’s along with my peacock theme. My idea was to have the detail at the back of the dress drawing your eyes to the design and linking it to the silhouette of a peacock.

My own drawing (improving my skills, once again drawn in my favourite media of biro pen)

Peacock feather

My own drawing just messing around with ideas that I could use for my own theme for the little black dress project, I’m really interested to see if I can use the peacock as my inspiration.

Observational drawing

This is my own illustration (drawing in black and red biro pen) inspired by my previous post; this illustration was actually my starting point for my little black dress design.

illustrations

I have been trying to improve on my illustration skills over the last few months by completing a series of observational drawings , I am often on lookbook ( http://lookbook.nu/looks#!countries/united-kingdom ) and I have come across this image several times and I am really interested  to see if I can use this style but in my own drawings.
